Happy holidays from me, and of course from Fearless Records (I’m a bit biased towards punk music). Here is the Punk Goes Christmas: Deluxe Edition. If you’re looking to spice up your holiday with some alternative Christmas songs, then this album is perfect for you.
You’ve read about Fearless Records and the punk goes… series. Now I’m here to introduce you (if you weren’t already introduced) to the newest addition to the Punk Goes… series; Punk Goes Pop Volume 7.
Here’s where it all kind of started. Throughout high school, YouTube was my go-to for playing music. Most importantly it was how I found new music. Starting on a homepage recommendation, I would go through music videos on YouTube using just the suggestions along the side. This brought me to a lot of new and fantastic bands. In the YouTube suggestions, I eventually found Punk Goes…, a compilation album series, specifically a compilation of punk covers. The first song that I found was a cover of Gotye’s song, “Somebody That I Used to Know” by Mayday Parade featuring Vic Fuentes of Pierce the Veil. From the Punk Goes Pop vol. 5, this was the first song that got me excited about the series.
